NPF brings together development partners involved in food and nutrition security in Mozambique, including UN agencies, donors, NGOs and civil society organisations from relevant sectors. Regular and active participation is encouraged, while interested partners can also remain informed through the Forum’s communication channels.
NPF normally meets every two months. Additional meetings, task forces or sub-groups may also be organised when specific issues require focused discussion or action. The Forum develops an annual workplan and reviews progress to identify priorities and improvements for the following period.
NPF works to strengthen partner coordination and harmonisation, advocacy, knowledge and evidence exchange, information sharing, and engagement with national, regional and global nutrition processes. Its work is intended to reduce duplication and improve alignment of partner support with Government priorities.
NPF supports coordinated partner engagement around national processes and priorities. Recent work has included support for PESAN, participation in the development of SNISAN, contribution to SUN assessments, and support to Mozambique’s Nutrition for Growth (N4G) commitments and other national and global nutrition initiatives.
The Co-Chairs help lead and facilitate NPF meetings, maintain communication with members, coordinate with key Government counterparts, support information exchange, and monitor progress against the Forum’s annual priorities and workplan.
